ABOUT AWOS
A World of STEM (AWOS) is a STEAM-focused nonprofit organization based in Greensboro, North Carolina, dedicated to bridging the gap in STEM for minority students, girls, and young women. Through hands-on education, mentorship, and community-driven initiatives, AWOS works to create equitable access to opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The organization is committed to not only academic excellence but also the holistic development of students by integrating mental health awareness and professional growth into its programming. By fostering inclusive environments and global volunteer-led initiatives, AWOS empowers the next generation of leaders to thrive in technical and healthcare-related fields.
